XAVANADU is the new arts and movement area at the Oregon Country Fair, located between Dragon Plaza and Chela Mela, formally known as Crafts Lot.
During the process of coming up with the permanent name to best describe the whimsy and fun this area offers, we were simply called, "The New Area". Through collaboration of many a witty mind, XAVANADU was born. Xavanadu = Savannah (a wide open space) + Xanadu (a place of great beauty, wonder and contentment). This community page is made available in order to showcase the various groups that make up Xavanadu; here you'll find links to activities we host during fair, information about our annual public art installations, and the community that supports our efforts. Take a stroll through the great expanse of Xavanadu; while you revel in its beauty and wonder, find contentment in participating in an activity of flow and movement, or enjoy a rest in our shaded dining area.
